- Less common
- Usually seen at a young age
- High response rate to treatment
Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (NHL)
- It is more common and has numerous subtypes
- Some types have a slow (indolent), some a fast (aggressive) course
- Treatment is planned according to subtype
Symptoms
Painless lymph node swelling in the neck, armpit or groin
Unexplained weight loss
Night sweats

Constant weakness, fatigue
Itching or skin rash

Epstein-Barr Virus (EBV), Hepatitis C and HTLV infections
Autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, Sjögren's syndrome)
Exposure to certain chemicals and pesticides

PET-CT/CT: Invasion mapping and staging

Staging
Lymphoma is classified between Stages I-IV. In early stages, the treatment process is shorter and the success rate is higher. "B symptoms" (fever, weight loss, night sweats) are also included in staging.
Treatment Methods
Chemotherapy
It is the main treatment for lymphoma. The drug protocol is determined according to the subtype (e.g. ABVD, R-CHOP).
Immunotherapy / Monoclonal Antibodies
Some types of lymphoma are treated with drugs that target targets such as CD20 (for example: Rituximab).
Radiotherapy
It can be applied in localized (limited area) diseases or as a support to chemotherapy.
Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (Bone Marrow Transplant)
It can be applied in high-risk or recurrent lymphomas.
